This young lady met who she thought was her Prince Charming playing a game on Facebook called YoVille about 4 years ago. She lived in Spain, her opponent live in Laredo, Texas. After playing a few games they began chatting and interacting with each other by chatting during the game.

Their relationship eventually developed into what she believed was a very serious relationship. From intimate conversations sharing personal secrets with one another to Skype Sex, they fell in love. After almost two years of online dating, her “YoVille lover” asked her to marry him. She happily and excitedly accepted. Against her family’s advice that her decision was way too impulsive and nonsensical, she told them she was in love and knew exactly what she was doing.

She told him that she would move to Guadalajara to live with some family members to be closer to him and the plan was for him to move there as well to be with her.

Three months after his proposal, she was on a plane headed to Guadalajara to be with the man she planned to spend the rest of her life with. He was supposed to be at the airport to pick her up.

But to her surprise…

He never showed up.

He was scamming her the entire time.

Two years!!!!

To add insult to injury, the man who she though was her one true love, took to Facebook to completely embarrass her.

He created a Facebook page with her pictures and name and basically told everyone how big a fool she was to believe that someone she’d never met in person was going to marry her. Not only that, every secret that she’d told him in confidentiality about herself and her family, he exposed.

So needless to say this guy was a complete asshole! An asshole that has ruined the way this young lady looks at life and dating now.

She has since suffered from depression and has not dated or had sex in over three years because of what this man did to her.

Now I know this column is called #struggleoftheweek, but this just might be the dating #struggle of the DECADE!!!!!
