You were first introduced to Morgan in my blog entitled Meet My Cast of Characters…..
I gave Morgan the title “Miss Perfect” not because she is, but because rarely will she admit to any wrongdoing when it comes to her failed relationships. Sure she is beautiful, smart, ambitious, and responsible. But she can also be a little too independent and by her own admittance, takes on the wifey role a little sooner in relationships than she should.
Her last serious relationship was with a great man who loved her and her son dearly. They were together for about five years before she gave him the ultimate ultimatum: Marry me or set me free.
He decided to leave the relationship behind because he wasn’t ready for the type of commitment that she wanted.
From that point on, Morgan decided that she was not going to waste that kind of time on any other relationships from that point on.
About three months ago she met Gerald at a restaurant during Happy Hour. He was in town visiting friends but he only lived a few hours away.
Morgan was not very interested in Gerald to start with. He wasn’t her type. He was a little ‘juicier’ in size than she was used to and he wasn’t over six foot which is her usual standard. But he was pleasantly charming and he made her laugh.
They hung out all weekend and when he left, she found herself making that three hour drive just about every weekend. He blew her mind sexually making her feel things that no man had ever made her feel before.
They spent late nights on the phone every night just getting to know each other.
Everything was perfect…..Or so it seemed.
About two weeks ago, Gerald told Morgan that his “roommates cousin” was coming to stay with them for a while. The cousin was female.
While Morgan tried to not make a big deal out of the situation, she began to have her suspicions. On the days leading up to his houseguest, she wasn’t hearing from Gerald nearly as much. He was doing a lot of cleaning and preparing for this guest that wasn’t even his.
When the guest arrived, the phone calls and texts lessened even more and when they did talk, it was more like on a buddy basis.
This is where the rift in their relationship began. They began arguing more and their honeymoon phase was slowly dwindling and it is still very early on in their relationship.
Is Morgan jumping to conclusions or should she trust her instincts? Should she hang in there with Gerald or be “on the next?”
What are your thoughts? Let Morgan know how she should handle her relationship with Gerald…..After all, she doesn’t need or WANT to waste any more unnecessary time.
