Dear Mr. Dating Struggle,

My situation is rather complicated. I have been off and on with a man for nearly 10 years. He has made serious commitments to me on several occasions, it just never remained consistent. We talked about marriage and we even met each other’s families. Nevertheless, over all this time, I never got the type of loyal relationship I really wanted. During a brief break, I discovered he had moved on and now has a girlfriend. He told me he’s not gonna break up with her, yet he still keeps calling me and we have slept together a few times. I feel like I’ve now become the sidechick to this man I’ve spent years trying to get to commit to me. I feel that his relationship isn’t real because he keeps calling me. I love this man and I’ve invested so much time so far. I don’t want to give up on us yet and it’s hard for me to move on. HELP ME!!!!

My beloved sister…you are a woman, the backbone and support of us men; where is your respect and love for yourself?

YOU invested 10 years of your life to someone that did not reciprocate the same love and care you were yearning for; you basically told him, this BOY, that you were open season to be used and abused.

How so you may ask? You’ve given up your power and negated your worth by going backwards instead of forward. Now you have given him so much power over your life that you are STUCK. Do you think that he is stuck?

He told you that he was not leaving the new girl because he knew that he alreay had your mind and power (heart) so now he is going to do the same thing with the new chick.

When are you going to wake up, know your worth, and understand your purpose as a woman on this earth? Your purpose is not to be controlled and dominated by a man. Your purpose is not to be used and abused.

Women stop being a doormat and taking the low ball of what you deserve. Take ownership and command what you deserve. You are a woman, your worth is UNDENIABLE and your value is PRICELESS.

WAKE THE HELL UP and hold this MAN accountable for his BOYISH actions, cut him off; instead of him pouring life into you he is KILLING you spirituality which turns into a reality.
