So this week’s #struggleoftheweek comes from a young lady who decided to try online dating as an alternative to the traditional way of meeting men.image

She decided to try a website called PlentyofFish.com. She began chatting with this guy online who had an extremely handsome profile pic. Drop dead gorgeous to be exact. She was showing me pics of the guy imageand the show “Catfish:The T.V. Show” immediately came to mind.
There were only a couple of pics on his page and they didn’t seem personal (red flag #1) They looked as if they could’ve been taken from someone else’s site.

In this episode of "Catfish: The T.V. Show," Trina talks to the hosts about a sexy stripper named Scorpio that she met online. However, Scorpio turned out to be an overweight guy with three kids named Lee. #thedatingstruggle

In hopes that she was chatting with the sexy guy in the picture, the young lady continued to try and get to know him. I advised her that she have him send her a pic of him holding her name up just as confirmation that she was indeed talking to the guy in the picture(I learned this by watching the show BTW).

She says he then became kind of defensive asking, “Why do I need to do that?” She explained her reasoning behind it telling him that it’s just a precautionary step she takes before meeting someone in person and told him that she would do the same for him.

He never sent the pic. (Red Flag #2)

About a week later after not hearing from him after her request, he sent her a random message on the site saying “I’ve met someone on the site but if you still wanna be ‘friends’ we can hang out for a drink.” (Red Flags #’s 3-10)image

Wait. What? Huh? Come again sir….

So let’s get this straight. Girl meets boy. Girl asks boy for a pic. Boy declines. Girl never hears from boy. Boy meets another girl and decides to tell girl #1 that they can be friends and meet for drinks though they’ve never talked or met a day in their lives.

This is just stupid.

This girl escaped a big ole bullet. We don’t need any other single females ending up missing and on the news because of some random psycho they met.
